Dblue Tapestop Plugin

I use an automation clip on the 'trigger' envelope and it works fine except that after it does the tapestop effect there is a split second of some sort of left-overs that plays real quick. It's hard to explain, so here's an audio clip of what I'm talking about.. when the 'beat' comes back in it's supposed to be quiet but you'll notice this weird after sound that comes in out of nowhere.
Someone please help on how to stop that from happening.. thanks!

The first example that comes to mind is Back by Lil Pump. When I use tapestop, it often starts to slow down at the wrong pitch or just sounds unnatural. Maybe I’m doing it wrong.
